Serving Staffordshire, the Midlands, and buyers and sellers across the UK, we offer a professional, approachable auction service for private clients, collectors, dealers, and estates.
Our regular auctions feature a wide and carefully curated range of categories, including ceramics, jewellery, gold and silver, fine art, militaria, toys, and decorative antiques, alongside quality household effects. From single items to full collections and house contents, we handle consignments of all sizes with the same attention to detail and care.

Auction Days
General Sales
Our General Auctions of antiques and collectables are held on the third Saturday of each month.
As a leading Staffordshire auction house, these sales are currently conducted online-only, with a live broadcast of the auction available on our website on sale day, allowing bidders to take part from anywhere.
General sales include a diverse mix of antiques and collectables such as ceramics, jewellery, watches, luxury and period furniture, taxidermy, and country house items, alongside a wide range of traditional household effects.
Specialist Sales
In addition to our regular general auctions, Leighton Hall Auctions hosts a programme of specialist auctions throughout the year, attracting collectors and buyers from across Staffordshire, the Midlands, and further afield. These specialist sales focus on areas including fine jewellery, militaria, toys, advertising, fine art, coins, rare pottery, and notable single-owner or private collections.
For all auctions, absentee bids and telephone bidding are available, and viewing days are held prior to each sale, giving buyers the opportunity to inspect lots in person at our Staffordshire auction rooms.
Valuations
As an established Staffordshire auction house, Leighton Hall Auctions offers professional, complimentary auction valuations and expert advice for individuals, families, and executors. Whether you are considering selling a single item or an entire collection, our experienced team is here to help.
Valuation Days
We hold weekly valuation days every Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10am to 4pm, at our saleroom in Stone, Staffordshire. These sessions are ideal for antiques, collectables, and general auction consignments.
In addition, we offer specialist jewellery valuation days on the first and third Monday and Tuesday of each month, providing expert assessments of gold, silver, gemstones, and fine jewellery.

Virtual Valuations
For clients unable to visit our Staffordshire saleroom, we also offer virtual valuations. Simply submit photographs and details of your items via our Contact Form, and a member of our team will be in touch with initial guidance and advice.
Probate and Insurance Valuations
Leighton Hall Auctions is proud to provide a professional and discreet service for Probate and Insurance Valuations. These valuations consist of full written reports, detailing the contents of a household or private collection and are suitable for solicitors, executors, and insurance purposes.
Our specialists can appraise a wide range of items, including pottery, gold, silver, jewellery, furniture, militaria, clocks, enamel signs, paintings, and other relevant antiques and collectables.
About the Auction:
Auction Catalogues
For each sale, a fully illustrated auction catalogue is published approximately two weeks prior to the auction. Catalogues are available to view on our website, The Saleroom, and Easy Live Auction, and include detailed descriptions and condition reports where appropriate.

How to Bid
All Leighton Hall Auctions sales are currently conducted online-only, allowing bidders to participate remotely from anywhere. Bidding is available via our website, The Saleroom, and Easy Live Auction, ensuring easy access for both local and international buyers.
We also accept absentee and telephone bids, which can be submitted in writing, by email, or over the phone. Once received, we will send a confirmation email, please ensure you check this carefully to confirm your bidding instructions.
Absentee and Telephone Bids
You may leave absentee bids or request a telephone bid at no additional cost. If a telephone bid is arranged, a member of our team will contact you while the lot is being offered at auction. Telephone bids are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability may be limited for international bidders.
Collecting Items
All collections and deliveries must be pre-arranged to allow us to manage collections efficiently and minimise waiting times. Please note that collections are not available on sale days. Full collection details will be provided following the auction.
Shipping and Postage
As a leading Staffordshire auction house, Leighton Hall Auctions is pleased to offer an efficient in-house packing and postage service for many items. We understand that collecting in person is not always possible and are happy to assist with delivery where suitable.
Once you have received your invoice after the auction, you may request shipping via the “Request Shipping” button. We will then provide a postage quote and issue an amended invoice. Alternatively, shipping requests can also be made by email or telephone after the auction has closed.
